After the first debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, who crossed swords on Tuesday evening, Americans remain very divided between the two camps, Republican and Democrat, which are extremely polarized.

When an American woman calls Donald Trump an idiot, another citizen attacks Kamala Harris by associating her with the radical left, when TVA Nouvelles went to meet them on Wednesday in the streets of Burlington, Vermont.

“The Trumpinator. I’ll be back,” reads a woman’s sweater, inspired by the film Terminator with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

She is also one of the few citizens in her neighborhood to have a Trump sign displayed in front of her house.

“In 2024, we will take back the White House, I hope,” she said, even though she admits that her candidate disappointed her on Tuesday evening.

“You can’t believe everything you hear, read and see,” another American woman said.

The Republican candidate’s statement about migrants eating pets has also caused more than one person to react.

“It’s insane,” said one young woman who was a child of immigrants when she first came to the United States with her family a few years ago.

Most of the citizens encountered in the small town of 45,000 inhabitants are disappointed with the candidates, arguing that they lacked ideas and content during the confrontation broadcast live on television.

Several of the citizens met also attacked the ABC channel and the journalists responsible for moderation.
