The value of Türkiye’s exports to African countries approached 20 billion dollars in 2024, achieving 1.7% on an annual basis.
According to information from the Turkish Exporters Council, the value of Türkiye’s exports to African countries in 2024 amounted to 19 billion, 419 million and 425 thousand dollars.
Türkiye was exported to 56 African countries last year, and sales to the continent formed 7.4% of Türkiye’s total exports in this period.
The most prominent African countries that Türkiye issued:
- Egypt ranked first among the most imported African countries for Turkish products with a value of $ 3.5 billion.
- Morocco came second with 3.1 billion dollars for the value of Turkish exports.
- And Libya third with $ 2.5 billion for the value of Turkish goods.
As for the type of Turkish exported goods:
- The first in the export list is chemicals worth $ 3.1 billion.
- It was followed by grains, legumes, oil seeds and their products with a value of $ 2.5 billion.
- Then steel with a value of two billion dollars.

And at the beginning of this month, Turkish President Recep Erdogan announced the country’s record of a record in the history of the Republic during the year 2024, at 262 billion dollars.
Erdogan explained at the time that the Turkish economy grew 2.1% in the third quarter of 2024, to record continuous growth without interruption over 17 quarter.
He also said that the Turkish economy reached a growth rate of 3.2% during the first 9 months of 2024.
He stated that the size of the economy increased from one trillion and 130 billion dollars (2023) to a trillion and 260 billion dollars in the annual account in the third quarter of 2024.
President Erdogan expected that the per capita income in Türkiye exceeded $ 15,000 during 2024, and 17 thousand dollars during the current year.
He continued: “We aim to reach a growth rate of 4% during the year 2025, with the support of net exports and fixed capital investments.”
