A 35-year-old American woman from Alabama arrested after 2 kg of cocaine was found in her 3-year-old child’s backpack has been charged with drug trafficking.

Mobile County sheriff’s deputies who arrested Tierra Tocorra Hill found US$450,000 worth of drugs and several firearms during a search of her home and vehicle.

Information reached the police according to which the thirty-year-old possessed large quantities of drugs which she hid with her four children aged 3 to 15, according to what the “New York Post” reported on Thursday.

The mother was arrested during a traffic stop by law enforcement officers who, after a careful search of the vehicle, discovered approximately 1.5 kg of cocaine, a handgun and cannabis.

Using a search warrant, narcotics investigators searched the 30-year-old’s home where they found 2 kg of cocaine inside a backpack carried by a 3-year-old child, a continued the local media.

“It’s safe to say the 3-year-old probably did not put the drugs in his backpack,” Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch told local CBS affiliate WKRG .

The police found two handguns and 1 kg of cocaine on site in another backpack lying around the house where the other children were located, left without adult supervision, according to the New York tabloid.
